About

Hi, I’m Hassan. I studied computer science at NUST in Islamabad, shipped software in Lahore, then moved to Munich for a master’s at TUM and finished it with a thesis at Harvard Medical School. These days I live in Cologne.

My work sits where data engineering meets machine learning: pipelines that don’t break at 3 a.m., models that are useful outside a notebook, and lately agents that do real work for real teams. Off the keyboard I take photos, travel, and am slowly getting less bad at golf.

    Deep learning for tracker-less ultrasound guidance in neurosurgery: a texture-invariant keypoint descriptor that matches pre-op MR with intra-op ultrasound. Became my TUM thesis and a best-presentation paper.
